National Park Roundup: Wildlife Sightings at Yellowstone National Park

I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone had some of the best wildlife sightings from all the National Parks that I have ever visited. Within 10 minutes of being inside of the park, I saw a female elk and a coyote. Later that day I saw another female elk, bison, and another coyote. The next day at Yellowstone I saw wolves and wolf cubs through binoculars! I also saw an osprey in its nest, bison, female elk, & pronghorn. Unfortunately, I did not get to see any black bears or grizzly bears, maybe next time!

If you’re visiting a national park, remember that most wildlife are active around sunrise and sunset! These are the best times to see wildlife active. Most wildlife spend their days resting which is why sunrise and sunset is your best chance to see them. Just remember to keep a safe distance from wildlife as these are wild animals. Let me know in the comments: What’s been your favorite wildlife sighting in a national park (or anywhere) and what’s your favorite national park and why?
