Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) is a popular National Park, not only for locals, but also for people from around the world. RMNP is located near Estes Park in Colorado and has amazing mountain views. RMNP is home to many animals including, but not limited to: Pika, Moose, Elk, Yellow-Bellied Marmot, Bighorn Sheep, Coyote, Beaver, Mule Deer, Mountain Lion, Snowshoe Hare, Red-Tailed Hawk, Western Tanager, & Boreal Toad.
I have been to RMNP multiple times and have been able to wildlife each time I visit. Some of the wildlife that I have seen at RMNP include: Elk, Moose, Yellow-Bellied Marmot, Mule Deer, & Red-Tailed Hawk. Elk are very commonly seen in Estes Park and throughout RMNP. I have seen Elk and Mule Deer on nearly every visit to RMNP. Moose and Bighorn Sheep a little less commonly seen throughout the park. I’ve been able to see Yellow-Bellied Marmots on two different trips to RMNP. I was able to see one at the Alpine Visitor Center, which is open seasonally and is the highest visitor center within the NPS. I have yet to see a Pika and I hope to see one soon.
Let me know in the comments what wildlife you have seen at RMNP and/or what wildlife you hope to see in the future!
